ABOUT DOON CONVENT SCHOOL

Doon Convent School was established in July 1994 with a humble beginning from a house. It is an English medium co-educational day school located amidst the pollution free environment.
The school aims at a harmonious development of the personality of students by placing equal emphasis on the intellectual, emotional, physical and health development.
The school lays emphasis on stree free education. The aim is to inculcate qualities of intellectual discipline and self learning amongst the students.

We often teach children how to make butterflies. They are colorful and always a visual treat. A fancy dress competition is more likely to have a child dressed as a butterfly. Nobody ever talks about MOTHS. Somehow these pesky, hairy, dull winged creatures are ignored. We have often felt that the children of our school are like Moths. We neglect the Moths and forget the myriad of colors, shapes, intelligence they have in store to display.
In Doon Convent School we want to make our children realize their true potential of being a Moth. Be it in the colors, structure, shape, flight etc. It’s a matter of realization about the true potential of being a Moth.
CO - CURRICULAR
Co-curricular activities play an important role in developing the creativity of a child. Therefore these activities have been given a significant place in the school time-table.
The school promotes educating the children through co-curricular activities such as Student Driven Assemblies, Debates, Elocution, Dramatics etc. Various activity centres such as Karate, Boxing, English, Eco-Club, Fine Art, Performing Art, Pure Science, 3Rs(Re-use, Recycle, Re-new), Bharat Scout and Guide, Excursions etc educate the children in skills which cannot be learnt from text books.
The school also provides opportunities to students interested in Green Olympiad, NCERT –NTSE (National Talent Search Examination), NSTSE (National Science Talent Search Exam), NCFE-NFLAT (National Financial Literacy Assessment Test), KATHA CLUB, BANK OF BARODA - CANVAS and various other national/international competitive exams.
The school is developing qualities and values in the students. The staff is concentrating on helping the children unleash their talents.
